Pokemon Black, along with Pokemon White, is an action role-playing video game duo released in September 2010. Published by Nintendo for the Nintendo DS console, the game is the first installment in the fifth generation of the franchise. The company's popular Pokemon video game. Inheriting the gameplay of its predecessors, Pokemon Black lets you immerse yourself in the fascinating adventure journey of a young Pokémon trainer in the vast Unova region. You'll collect, train, and use Pokemon to battle with other trainers while stopping the evil plot of the Team Plasma organization.

The Story

The main antagonist force in this game is called Team Plasma. They are Templar-style warriors and work against Pokemon trainers. They argue that Pokemon are oppressed by humans and that killing Pokemon trainers will free the creatures from human abuse.

Throughout the game, you will face off against N, the leader of Team Plasma and a very mysterious Pokemon trainer. This character grew up with Pokemon that was abused by his adoptive father, Ghetsis. Therefore, his motivation to free the Pokemon from his humans is understandable. N's goal in the game is to become the hero of Unova by capturing the Legendary Pokemon Zekrom and defeating the Pokemon Champion Alder, to convince everyone to part with their Pokemon.

Gameplay

Pokemon Black retains the adventure role-playing gameplay from its predecessors. You will control a Pokemon trainer, starting with a single Pokemon, and explore the world to collect more Pokemon through Pokeballs. You can carry up to six Pokemon at a time, and the remaining Pokemon you use will be stored in a high-tech device called a Pokedex.

The third-person turn-based battles are iconic to the franchise. During a match, a Pokemon can use up to four moves to attack, heal, or inflict status on an opponent. The moves that the Pokemon uses will consume PP, while the amount of damage the Pokemon takes will consume the Pokemon's HP. If you fight and cause your opponent's Pokemon to run out of HP, it will faint and need to be resuscitated at the "Pokemon Center," and that will help you win the match. The reward for the winning Pokemon is experience points, which help it level up, increase its stats, and evolve into other forms after certain conditions are met.

You can use various items that you collect while exploring the vast land of Unova to use in battles. These items can heal an injured Pokemon or help it learn new skills, such as Hyper Potions restore HP, Antidotes cure poisoning, Revives revive fainted Pokémon, Technical Machines teach moves to Pokémon, and Hidden Machines help the player pass through some of the game's special environments. You can shop for these items at Poke Marts.

New Features

Pokemon Black brings 156 new Pokemon for players to collect, discover, and train. In addition, the game also introduces a seasonal cycle feature, helping players experience the weather in the game as true to reality. Finally, the "Day Care" feature has also been updated to increase the game's entertainment. This feature allows players to breed two of their Pokemon to create their offspring. With the participation of a male Pokemon and a female Pokemon, the player can create eggs to unlock a level 1 Pokemon.
