Gameplay

Pokemon Ruby is faithful to the role-playing gameplay and turn-based combat of the whole series. You will control Pokemon trainers to participate in battles with other trainers' Pokemon. Besides, you also need to pay attention to collecting Pokemon by throwing Pokeball. Try to collect rare Pokemon in the game to use their superior power to dominate the vast Pokemon world.

Besides collecting Pokemon to fill up the Pokedex, you need to defeat the Gym Leaders, the Pokemon trainers that top the cities in the game. The Story

You'll take turns uncovering plot mysteries to unlock new chapters in a linear order. The game's subplot involves you fighting against Team Aqua, a criminal organization that wants to capture and torture Pokemon to use their powers to manipulate Hoenn's climate at will. They used a mystical orb to awaken the legendary Pokemon Kyogre, causing it to become angry and unleash its power, with a plot to turn Hoenn into an ocean and engulf them all.

Accompanying you on your quest to rescue the legendary Pokemon Kyogre are Professor Birch, a Pokemon expert, and his daughter, a talented female Pokemon trainer. Using the help of your two companions, you'll take turns collecting new Pokemon, uncovering the mysteries of the Team Aqua crime syndicate, and defeating them to rescue Kyogre and bring peace to the Hoenn land.

Lots Of Pokemon To Collect

Joining Ruby, you can collect up to 202 Pokemon with different looks, characteristics, and abilities. The game supports players to trade with other versions of the Pokemon franchise, bringing the total number of Pokemon that can be collected to 386 Pokemon. More specifically, Ruby offers a new feature, allowing players to use two Pokemon to fight on the same side simultaneously. As a result, battles will become more intense and dramatic, and you can create different combinations of Pokemon to give you an advantage over your opponent's Pokemon trainer.
