Pokemon White 2 is a remake of Pokemon White produced by Game Freak and promoted by Nintendo. The game was developed for the Nintendo DS game console and is part of the fifth generation of the Pokemon video game franchise. First introduced in Japan in June 2012, the game continues the story of Black and White two years later. Players will begin the journey of a Pokemon trainer to become the Pokemon Champion of Unova. At the same time, you will have to stop the conspiracy of the criminal organization Team Plasma, now back as Neo Team Plasma.
Some of the new features introduced in Pokemon White 2 include a Key System, Hidden Caves, a new city, and a host of new Pokémon available for players to explore and collect freely. Along with the task of collecting Pokemon, becoming a Pokemon champion, and Defeating Neo Team Plasma, you also need to try to collect as many Pokemon as possible through trading with other players to complete your Pokedex. In total, the game features over 300 Pokemon for you to collect, train, and evolve.
Gameplay
The goal of Pokemon White 2 players is to explore the vast new world of Unova. Most in-game events begin taking place in new locations in the western part of the region. You will control Pokemon to participate in turn-based battles with a top-down third-person perspective, use Pokemon's skills to attack opponents, talk to companion characters in the game to search for rare Pokemon, and solve the mysteries of the Neo Team Plasma organization.
Each Pokemon participating in the battle needs to keep in mind two essential stats. The first is PP. This stat represents the amount of energy the Pokemon expend when using the skill. If the Pokemon's PP does not meet the skill's requirements, it will not be able to use the skill until the PP bar is restored. The second stat is HP, which represents the Pokemon's health. The amount of HP lost for each Pokemon corresponds to the amount of damage it takes from the opponent Pokemon. If your Pokemon attacks and makes the opponent's Pokemon's HP zero, it will faint and cannot continue the battle. When you do, you will win and get experience points for your Pokemon.
The Story
Your thrilling and exciting adventure will begin in Unova's previously unexplored western lands. In your Pokemon collection journey, you accidentally discover the evil plot of Neo Team Plasma. They want to abuse the power of the legendary Pokemon, Kyurem, to invade the world. Using Kyurem's special powers, the organization intends to freeze much of Unova, including Opelucid City, to collect all Pokemon easily. You'll chase Neo Team Plasma to Humilau City, where you'll receive help from Marlon, the famous Gym Leader, to rescue Kyurem and defeat Neo Team Plasma. After the Neo Team Plasma side story is over, you can spend all of your time fighting the Elite Four and the new Champion of the Unova Alliance, Iris, and fulfill your dream of becoming the Pokemon Champion of the Unova League.
New Features
Pokemon White 2 introduces an exciting side game to add to the game's entertainment. The "PokerStars Studios" is a fascinating project where you will participate in the filming of a movie involving Pokemon and other actors. You'll be teaming up with director Brycen-Man to complete your cinematic masterpiece, featuring all of your Pokemon in possession.
More specifically, the Pokémon World Tournament mode will allow you to compete against powerful trainers from previous games in the franchise, including Gym Leaders Brock, Misty, Volkner, and Giovanni, and Pokemon Champions Cynthia, Steven, and Lance. Also, with the newly updated Key System feature, you'll get quick access to new additional areas like the Black Tower or the White Tree, or special rooms containing Legendary Pokemon like Regirock, Registeel, and Regice.
